Attendance directly impacts student success.
Students are expected to be in school and on time every day school is in session.
NY State regulations require schools to record student attendance daily. Late arrivals and early departures must also be recorded. Therefore, attendance is taken during each class period, every day and phone calls will be made home whenever a student is late or absent.
Whenever possible, families are expected to schedule appointments outside of regular school hours If a student is going to be absent, a parent or guardian must call the school at 718-329-7380 to notify the school.
The student should also email their teachers, as well as check Google Classroom for each class. Students must make up any exams, quizzes, or missing work. It is the student’s responsibility to coordinate make-up work with the teachers.
