Offered students early access to college-level coursework related to education, leadership, and humanities, strengthening both academic preparation and theme alignment.
Hunter College, Youth Educator Program Pilot
On June 30th, we partnered with Hunter College’s School of Education to launch an inaugural cohort for a pilot program designed to prepare students to become future educators. Through this program, students take courses at Hunter College School of Education and can graduate high school with 12 to 15 college credits focused on education, along with paraprofessional certification.
Urban Debate League
Partnered with the Urban Debate League to offer a public forum debate course open to students across all grades. This course equips students with critical thinking and public speaking skills while preparing them to compete in citywide debate tournaments.
PBL Works
PBL works came to the school and led a 3-day workshop training all of our school staff in how to design and implement project-based learning to better integrate our theme throughout content areas.
Press Pass NYC
Partnered with Press Pass to start a sustainable school newspaper program that is student-led where students can ask questions seek answers and sharpen their critical thinking, teamwork and leadership skills.
Field Trips and Organizational Partnerships
Exposed students to leadership development opportunities beyond the classroom, reinforcing the Educators & Leaders theme in authentic contexts.
